That’s no dame, that’s me

The short is that I’m a bi-coastal babe, born and raised on the East Coast, moved to the West Coast, now residing and presiding over the Pacific Northwest. The slightly longer is I went to college in Santa Cruz, California, my personal Tara. Then I tried to be an actress in Los Angeles, which was a totally foreseen disaster. Then I moved to the Bay Area, did an internship at Chronicle Books, became a theatre publicist, and sang in a blues band.  You may notice a gap in posts during those years. Shit got busy. In 2008, I fell in love with a man (M Fox) who was practically living in a box with no towels and subsisted off of graham crackers and applesauce. In 2011, I married him. Since then he has become a Very Important Man in a Very Important Company and moved me away. This has allowed me to become a Woman of Leisure, a Lady who Lunches, hopefully One Classy Dame (titular line!).

Pieces of the even longer story are in the archives, should you feel like wading into the depths of my early 20’s angst (ooo, fun!)

I love foxes, performing on stage, going to theatre (sometimes reviewing it), wine, cooking, and eating.  Tamora Pierce and Terry Pratchett are my heroes.  I write YA fantasy and will post a few samples. If I get a single comment about the irrelevancy of “genre writing,” your ass is grass (I may or may not have some PTSD from college creative writing workshops). If I get drunk feel brave, I may post some music.

Also, Rarity, then Fluttershy, for those who were wondering.

Also also, here for the Slivovitz? Welcome!
